"i liked the feel of the sensitive skin formula of hope in a jar more than the regular (all skin types) formula. this formulation seems to go on a bit heavy, and you have to rub it in--but it feels less oily than the reg. one after a few minutes. the scent of this product is almost non-existent--much more scent-friendly than the reg. hope in a jar!
hope in a jar for dry/sensitive skin left my skin feeling silky...i would definitely recommend it over the original formula."

Best moisturizer for two sizes too small skin

"I had a skincare emergency over the summer. We were in the middle of a move, and I negelected my skin. By the end of the summer, my skin was red, dry, and super itchy. It really felt two sizes too small. I called philosophy and asked for help.
THe philosophy consultant suggested the omega 3-6-9 oil and this moisturizer. I was in so much discomfort I could not wait for it to be sent to me, so I went to a local store and bought both products. I got immediate relief! My skin felt moist all day. BTW...I had tried another line (ordered everything they had) and used it for a week without any relief.
My only complaint about this moisturizer is the scent. It is not my favorite. I tried the replenishing cream and liked the scent better, but thus far it has not provided the level of moisturization and comfort this product did. I think I am switching back. This one is truly amazing."

Great moisturizer

"I've been a user of the original hope in a jar for many years now. i happened to get this sensitive skin formula in a set so i decided to try it. while still very light it does not have the whipped texture of the the original formulation. i am enjoying it and find it very moisturizing. i do not have extremely sensitive skin but this is very mild and does not have the lavender smell that the original HIAJ has. if you have problems with the original formulation, i recommend this!"

"i wasn't thrilled with the regular hope in a jar. the smell was so overwhelming it gave me a headache, and the lotion felt so thin. HOWEVER, WHEN I USED THIS LOTION...I TRULY FELL IN LOVE. MY FACE STARTED BREAKING OUT A FEW YEARS AGO, AND NOW I KNOW IT WAS FROM USING CETAPHIL. I HAVE VERY FAIR, SENSITIVE SKIN. I HAVE USED THIS LOTION FOR A MONTH, AND MY FACE HAS COMPLETELY CLEARED UP. MY FACE FEELS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I HOPE THEY NEVER MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THIS MOISTURIZER! IT'S PERFECT!"

"I have very dry skin, so dry that I have used petroleum jelly on the dry patches on my face. I have tried so many moisturizers, but hope in a jar is the ONly one that kept my face moisturized all day, didn't irritate my skin, and actucally improved my skin. I can't believe it took me so long to try just one more moisturizer. this 2 oz lasts about 3 months for me using it day and night. I really can't recommend this product enough! it is absolutely the best facial moisturizer I have found! the search is over, hope in a jar has made the difference for me."

"Winters in Northern MN have extreme cold and low humidity; our heated homes tend to wick moisture away from skin. in summer we have temperature changes regularly. since i began using this moisturizer 2 years ago, people tell me I'm looking younger!"

"I love this! my skin has recently changed from being normal/combination to very sensitive, dry, and red. i thought I had tried everything, and then found this - it's wonderful! i live in hot and humid florida, and this is not at all too heavy on my face. i had used the original hiaj before switching to something else a few years ago, and am happy to return and be a philosophy girl again!!"

"I have very sensitive skin and almost everything I have tried has made my skin worse even when the product would be labeled for sensitive skin. This product is the best I have ever tried as it has lived up to my expectations. I had no reaction after initially trying it and am still happy with it after using for the past few years."

"I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN with some dryness and REDNESS. this moisturizer makes my skin feel sticky and seems to irritate it even more. i really want to love everything that philosophy does, but the hiaj for dry, sensitive skin just didn't work for me. I suppose i wil now switch back to THE ORIGINAL HIAJ, which is A LOT BETTER for my skin."

"i had purchased this product previously and was happy with it but in attempt to save a little money changed to another brand once i ran out..my mistake! this moisturizer is the only one i have found to moisturize my dry skin without making it feel greasy. however i do find it to be a better nightcream than a daycream. needless to say i am now committed to this cream"

"This is the best stuff ever for dry skin. i had horribly dry skin on my forehead and of course, with makeup on, it looks even worse. before, i used origins--a perfect world--cream and it helped a little but after 30 minutes, the dry skin would re-appear and look even worse. i struggled with this for weeks until i decided to use hope dry skin. it works wonders!!! i haven't seen dry skin again! i highly recommend this for anyone who is tired of their skin peeling no matter what they do (i even tried exfoliating twice a week and that worked for a day but the skin flakes came back the next day!)"

"Recently switched to this from original hope in a jar when i purches a kit on sale at qvc. my skin was getting to dry and irritated this winter. I decided to try this as the kit was on sale and it has worked wonders. using this with the 3,6,9 serum has made a tremendous difference and helped to hydrate and calm my skin!"
