Perfect cleanser, even for oily skin

"i switched to this cleanser from another brand of skin care products, and so there was some adjustment. for the first week or so I had a few small breakouts, but those have cleared up and my skin looks beautiful! no dryness or tightness after cleansing, which is great. also, i have very oily skin - i have to exfoliate several times a week and use a clay mask at least once a week - and this cleanser is great at keeping my skin feeling and looking clean without being oily or too dry. Love it!"

"I recently purchased this cleanser in hope for finally finding the cleanser that i love which seemed impossible after searching forever!! but i can honestly say i love this face wash. i have normal to combination skin and sometimes dry patches and even breakouts that sometimes made me feel like i had to wear makeup. this cleanser helped give my skin a good feeling again and also look good! no more dry patches.. and after i wash my skins feels clean and looks clean. not to mention it smells great too!! i look forward to trying more products from philosophy :)"

"this is the best facial cleanser on earth. i have tried origins, kinerase, perricone md, shiseido, clinique. way more expensive brands and this is just the best. it does what it claims, cleans without stripping your skin of natural oils. doesn't leave you feeling tight or oily. keeps my skin clear from breakouts. i wash my face double in the row in the am and pm because it is that great. love the delicate scent. philosophy keep making this!"

"iT IS AMAZING WHAT ONE SIMPLE PRODUCT CAN DO FOR YOUR SKIN. i HAD THE SKIN OF A TEENAGER WITH ACNE AND BREAKOUTS AND OVER THE YEARS FELT LIKE i'D TRIED EVERY SKIN CLEANSER AVAILABLE FROM THE EXPENSIVE DEPARTMENT STORE BIG NAMES TO OVER THE COUNTER CLEANSERS. eVEN tRIPS TO THE DERMATOLOGIST GAVE ME NO HOPE OF HAVING CLEAR SKIN FREE OF BREAKOUTS. I'VE BEEN USING IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. "i've been using Purity face wash for years! i only order the 32oz. bottle size and i have a tiny travel-size one for my travel bag. this face wash is great because it removes all my makeup - and i wear a lot of makeup! i also love it because it doesn't irritate my eyes like some other cleansers can. it doesn't over-dry my skin (my skin is normal/combination). there's no funky smell, either. this product is hands-down the best cleanser i've ever used and i would never try to switch over to another cleanser. i'm always in search of the best mascara, lipstick, fragrance, etc. but when it comes to my face wash, i can safely say that i will never need to look any further than my own purity face wash."

"i don't know if i can add any new praise about purity, but i will sure try! i was so hesitant to try this cleanser, as i have very oily, acne-prone skin. i have to be very careful about cleansers: the slightest amount of moisturizer in a face wash will cause me to break out in cyst-like pimples all over my face. i decided to take a risk and try purity made simple because i use and love so many philosophy products. i am so delighted that i chose to buy it. i have been using it for a few months now and every time i wash my face, i am continually amazed at how smooth and soft my skin is.
there is no need for me to use my astringent anymore. before, with other face washes, i would use astringent after i cleansed and the cotton ball would be dirty. i used astringent after purity and there was nothing to found on the cotton! i also do not need to use my eye make-up remover any longer. purity simply washes everything away. there is no need to use a large amount, so a bottle will last you a good while. i will use this forever!"

"like most women i have wasted a lot of money through the years on products that end up in the trash. this cleanser is the best cleanser i have ever used. it has a very creamy feel and a natural scent. it took of my waterproof mascara in seconds. afterward my face was clean, toned and soft. i have used cleansers that cost twice as much and did nothing. this product does everything it claims to and then some. it is worth every penny."

"After trying dozens of different drugstore and a couple of high-end cleansers to either 1) no noticeable results, or 2) completely dried-out skin, I head about purity made simple, and while browsing Sephora's website, I read all the rave reviews. So, of course, I figured I'd give it a try...I'm so happy I did!! The first few weeks after I bought this, I didn't use it every day, and didn't notice any significant results. Recently, however, I've been using it religiously -every morning when I shower- and the skin on my face has never been softer, or looked/felt so healthy! Thanks philosophy!! :)"

"this is the perfect cleanser to use at night. it removes all traces of makeup (even eye makeup) and leaves my skin feeling very clean and soft. the smell is nice but not overpowering, and since it's non-foaming, it doesn't dry out my skin. if you have any issues with acne or clogged pores, then defintely pair this with the microdelivery wash. i didn't do this at first and think my skin would have cleared up quicker if i had. after years of using harsh ance scrubs, it's really nice to use a gentle cleanser on my skin that actually helps keep it balanced. thanks, philosophy!"

"i love this product. it's non irritating, removes make up and really cleans your skin. i have dry skin and although i can't go without cream on my skin this facial cleaner doesn't dry out my skin. i love it's clean pure scent. i have always used Avon and was irritated when i found out the last cleaner with exfoliating beads was discontinued so i came back to purity. i love the fact that you don't have to keep it away from the eye area which was frustrating because i would have to take off my eye make up with soap, then wash my face. it's so nice to multitask and do it all in one step."

I BEGAN USING IT LAST DECEMBER AND FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE (THAT I CAN REMEMBER) I FEEL LIKE MAKEUP IS TRULY OPTIONAL FOR ME. THIS CLEANSER WASHES AWAY ALL THE DIRT AND MAKEUP THAT ENDS UP ON MY SKIN, WITHOUT DRYING MY FACE OUT OR CAUSING MY ACNE TO FLARE UP. THE SCENT IS LIGHT AND REFRESHING, YET UNIQUE. "i hate to dock a seemingly great product, but this actually irritated my skin. only me, of course. i received purity made simple for signing up for philosophy emails. i loved the fresh, natural smell and how freaking soft it left my skin, but after two uses the texture of my skin had turned into little tiny bumps. so, all in all, not meant for me, but i would definitely still recommend this product to a friend (with slightly less tempermental skin)."

"I turned the awful 49 years old in July, and as some know; unfortunately changes occur in a unpleasant way. Wrinkles, sun damage,suddenly you realize even if we feel young we are not. "This product is fabulous! my friend (who swears by the stuff) gave me a 4oz sample, and in just the past month my skin has taken such a turn for the better. other cleansers dried me out or left me greasy, but this one has given me balanced, radiant skin. I use less makeup (hooray!) and have received lots of comments on my new "glow." I've recommended to others, and depending on skin type they've had mixed results, so try it out, and hopefully you'll love it as much as I do!"
