"i'm impartial to this shower gel. i don't know what a mimosa smells like, but based on the description i assume it is spot-on. i simply don't like the scent. i guess those who like mimosas would like this, but i just don't like the smell."

fantastic orange scent

"I think this one is very true to a mimosa...the orange isn't super-overpowering. This is the one I go to when I need a little help kick-starting my morning. Have gifted this one to a few friends, and it was a great intro to the philosophy shower gels!"

Too strong for me

"This scent has a nice orange scent in the bottle, but in the shower the orange becomes overpowering. It may be the perfect fit for someone who loves any and all orange scents, but it was just too stong for me."

"i love fresh, citrus scents, but this gel has a fake smell to it that is unappealing. I own 7 gels, and this is the first disappointment. It just smells kind of weird. The melon daiquiri is much nicer if you want a drink inspired gel."

"if you love the scent of oranges--you will enjoy this product. the smell is unique but enjoyable--it keeps you wanting more and more of this fabulous scent. will give as a present to my girlfriends--reminds of hanging out with the "girls" for drinks. just give it a try--I did and I wasn't disappointed."

not my favorite - but still a good gel!

"i've used the philosophy gels for 5+ years and while i adore them all - this is not my favorite. the consistency is fine but the scent is not that special. i would rather go with the wonderful senorita margarita! still a good product if you like orange scented gels though."

"i just emptied my bottle of mimosa yesterday. i don't know what a mimosa drink smells like, but the shower gel reminded me of orange kool-aid powder or the old tang powder mix that we used to buy. if you really like orange, that's not a bad thing!"

bright and fresh!

"this is a bright, fresh, wake-me-up orange scent. I love it but it only gets 4 stars because it smells more like plain orange juice than a mimosa to me! i wish that the champagne or bubbly note was stronger. this is a great morning scent though, if you are an orange or citrus fan you'll love it!"

"i LOVE mimosas and was so happy to finally get this scent. its a little more orangey than what i thought, but maybe it's because i put in more champagne in my mimosas ;) it smells like 1/4 champage 3/4 oj!"

"The reviews below are right when they say that it doesn't exactly smell like a mimosa. it does smell wonderful though. It's like a sweet orange with a hint of champaign. I definitely suggest trying this out!"

"okay, so my review title was corny...! :) i love this 3 in 1! definitely a great one to use when you need a quick wake-up in the morning. i love it, but i was expecting it to also have an effervescent note (that is similar to the "bubbly" 3 in 1s) with the orange scent, since a "real" mimosa is champagne and orange juice. to me, it doesn't have the effervescent note, but it's still a winner, and i will definitely continue to buy this one."

"this is my favorite citrusy scent from philosophy. it smells very, very true to its name and is very energizing. the orange and champagne scents are wonderfully blended and make this gel really smell like a mimosa. unlike real mimosas, this gel will not leave you with a hangover if you choose to have multiple servings."
