Didn't work for me

"i purchased nude. as directed, i swiped it over dry lips and put lipstick/gloss over it. the pencil made my lips very rough and dry. on 2nd attempt, i decided to just line my lips with the pencil. same effect. just not for me."

not exactly "neutral"

"I bought the lip pencil in "neutral," and I'm afraid I have to say i think it was mis-named. to me, neutral would be more of a natural light rose or light rosy pink color, but this liner was a brownish color. i thought perhaps I had received the wrong color, but i checked, and i did receive the "neutral." i didn't order "nude" because i thought it would be more of a beige or brownish color, and thought "berry" would have too much of a red tone. i think next time, i'll try to demo the colors in person. although it wasn't the color i had thought it would be, it did seem to give a natural look. i prefer a softer pencil, though, but overall this lip pencil is okay."

i'm using lip pencils again!

"I had previously stopped using lip pencils because they hurt my lips, they were drying to my lips, and they were not making my lips look any better. I have re-ordered this one because it is gentle and smooth on my lips and it does not drag and make my lips bleed! this lip pencil makes my lip gloss as well as my lipstick look better! this lip pencil looks great under most shades of gloss or lipstick. i'm now a lip pencil user---but only if it's made by philosophy! get 1or 2 for yourself--you won't regret it!!"

smooth, creamy, lasts long time....

"i do love philosophy's lip pencils. i use the nude with any color of lipstick. it is a great base for getting the true color from any shade lipstick or gloss. i even use the nude under other liners.
i also like to use this liner and blend a lipgloss with a lipbrush for a beautiful nude lip."

"I bought this in a set with the supernatural gloss. It is perfect for the natural look and if you outline outside of lip, it makes your lips look fuller. I love it so far."

a nice lip pencil

"i don't use lip liner very much but this was included in a kit, so i tested it out. the color seems like it would be very flattering on any skin tone. this also goes on very easily and isn't hard to remove at the end of the day."
