"I got this for xmas. I never thought of getting it because of the name gingerbread but it does not smell anything like gingerbread. It is of a lemon smell but hard to describe the other notes. It is a lemon base though. It is a refreshing and light scent and smells very nice. I am not a fan of food smelling body stuff but this is nice. I LOve it

"The scrub is absolutely delightful. there's no greasy after-feel and the warming sensation is quite invigorating, especially in a steam shower! the only thing I'm not too keen on is that it has more of a lemony scent than gingerbread."

"Living in a northern state during winter, skin gets very dry and itchy, I was looking for a scrub and chose this over a $60 brown sugar scrub. I can say I'm glad I didn't spend $60! This is definitely worth the money as you get so much. the scent is nice and does not stay with me which is great when I use other lotions with different scents. scrub works great and leaves my whole body soft and not greasy or oily, also cleans up super easy in the tub. I'm a definite fan!"

"I got this stuff after reading reviews for it on many different sites. i. love. THIS. stuff!!! it smells wonderful, the warmth is fantastic for me, there isn't an oil slick on my bathtub floor, the scrubbiness of it feels wonderful on my legs, and the afterward is woooonderful. my legs are so smooth and soft, i love it. i have switched my allegiance from all other body scrubs to philosophy hot salt scrubs. nothing else will do. especially this man. can i marry him?"

"the first time I tried this, I HATED it, because it smelled lemony to me. It's actually a ginger smell, like ginger ale. Once I realized I was never going to smell gingerbread, I was able to smell it for what it is and enjoy it a lot! philosophy makes the best body scrubs I've ever tried! I love that they're not oily or runny. they are super thick, very exfoliating, but they don't dry out your skin. I usually turn the shower on, get under the water for a second, turn the water off & scrub away. My skin feels amazing afterwards....baby soft!
I gave it 4 stars because I think if it's going to be called gingerbread man, then it should smell like gingerbread. Maybe it should be renamed ginger ale man ;-)"

"I've been using this scrub for the last two years. The scrub is great for thighs and legs. it actually helped out my cellulite on my thighs. smells amazing and so refreshing on my skin. you gotta try it and you will love it."
