the first and the best
Posted:April 20, 2012
hope in a tube eye and lip firming cream was the first eye cream i had ever tried. i have eye hope and miracle worker eye cream, and they are fabulous products. this eye cream is my favorite. i am not sure whether it is my age now or the regular use of the miracle worker retinoid pads, but i find that my skin is much more receptive now to this eye and lip cream than when i first tried it in 2004. i used to have to wait a few minutes for my skin to absorb the cream, but now it settles right in and gives my eye and lip areas that refreshed dewy look.

smoothing

I am so happy that i tried this product!. I have tried both eye hope and miracle worker. i think this is the best of the three! It is thick, really moisturizing and does not sting. i use this during the day and over the miracle worker at night. it comes out of the tube thick, so i rub it between my fingers and then pat under my eye. the trick with this is to pat under eye, do not just smooth over eye area. Give it a few minutes to sink in. my fine lines and tired eyes have never looked better. it makes my eye concealer look flawless! Thank you Philosophy!

very firming
Posted:February 15, 2012
i've been using this on top of eye hope (really helps with dark circles) in the evenings and on its own in the morning. it really does help with the look of firmness and helps to minimize the fine lines. it does go on a little heavy so i'm sure to give myself some time before applying makeup. that said, my makeup does layer nicely on it.

I've been using this daily for the last 2 years and I haven't found anything else that comes come to this! It's very moisturizing without being heavy. it makes me look more awake by helping with the morning puffiness.

so, i'm 27. my skin is changing. i'm not a kid anymore. and just a few weeks ago i noticed that i wasn't just getting lines at the corners of my eyes - i was starting to get them just below my eyes too, sort of on the highest arch of my cheekbone. smile lines.
nooooo!
happily, this stuff is making me feel a lot better about having them - because it does an excellent job at masking them. i apply just a teeny tiny bit of this baby at the corners of my eyes and under my eyes, and it really blurs the fine lines i'm starting to get. it seems to plump the skin up a little bit there too.
for good measure, i've been using it around my lips too. i don't have any complaints there yet, so i can't attest to how good of a job it does at firming that area, but it definitely hasn't irritated my sensitive skin at all!
i haven't noticed any problems with it causing any of my makeup to smudge under my eyes either, which is good too.
i'll be using this for a lonnnng time. :)

Worst eye cream i've ever used
Posted:November 30, 2011
and it's not cheap! does not spread evenly and smoothly when applied. maybe it's my skin type or maybe I got an old tube. I should probably send it back. It's seriously one of the worst beauty produces I've ever used.

I'm only 24, but since i started using this I can already see the difference in the skin around my eyes!
I use this every day and one tube lasts a LONG time.
My eye doctor even told me that the skin around my eyes looked really young and healthy, that he would have estimated my age at 16 based off of it! needless to say, i will keep using this!

Still my favorite!
Posted:November 12, 2011
i think what distinguishes this eye cream from others is that it is a true moisturizing eye cream. it is rich and creamy and plumps up the delicate eye area and almost seems to form a shield to protect your skin. it has helped minimize the crepiness on my eye lids, fills in those miniscule lines and prevents my eyes from feeling dry and itchy. it is very mild and i have never experienced any burning, tearing or irritation from using it.
i use hope in a tube in the mornings. i "warm it up" between my fingers before applying it and then pat it in very liberally. i let it soak in several seconds before i apply my eye makeup.
Another thing i love about this eye cream is it really holds my undereye concealer in place and prevents it from creasing or "looking cakey", or disappearing altogether.
also, it's great on the lips...really moisturizes them. when wearing lipstick i'll put "alot" of this on and let it sink in. it makes my lipstick stay on longer and minimizes the feathering i get above my upper lip and the fine lines in my lips.
this was the first philosophy eye cream i used, always got it in the makeup optional kit; and although i do alternate using eye hope and the mirracle worker eye cream at night--and like them very much-- this one is still my favorite.
i couldn't imagine going through a chicago winter without this on my eyes.

not bad, not great
Posted:October 25, 2011
i would say this is an average eye cream. it provides decent moisture, and soaks in pretty well. however, after i use this and the product soaks in, my eye area doesn't feel very moisturized. i haven't noticed a big difference with the fine wrinkles under my eyes, either. i am very picky about eye creams, so i probably won't buy this again. I would recommend this someone give it a try as it is not a bad product, and i think it would work well as a first-time eye product.

nice rich eye cream
Posted:October 23, 2011
this is where i started when i got into philosophy skincare years ago in one of their kits i purchased. i use this mainly at nightime because of the richer consistency of it. it does take longer to sink in than some of their other eye creams but i love the results. this keeps my under eye area so nice and hydrated. it's also great for around the lip area if you are starting to see fine lines around your mouth area, and to moisturize the lips.

like it!

i must say i like this product. the price is good and i like the results. it absorbs amazingly well and it doesn't irritate my eyes. only 4 stars because i don't think the tube will last long and i'm not so sure of the long term benefits of using this cream. i don't use it around my mouth so i can't say anything about that. overall, i'd say it's good.

Good moisturizer
Posted:June 27, 2011
i love the texture and feel of this eye cream. it does a fantastic job at re-hydrating beneath my eyes and is very smooth to apply. i haven't really noticed a big difference in fine lines or wrinkles under my eyes. on days when i wear this alone (without eye hope), i really haven't noticed a difference in dark circles so i'm not sure that it has any effect on those.
it is a great moisturizer but i'm not certain that it delivers on any of the other advertised promises.
I think i may give eye believe a try to see if it has better results on the fine lines.

This is a decent product...but...
Posted:May 22, 2011
this eye product, when hope is not enough eye and lip firming cream is a decent product, but i would say this should probably be used for people who are younger, maybe early to mid 30's, if they want to start preventing the beginnings of fine lines and wrinkles, or if a person just wants " immediate results that can be seen and felt". it is a hydrating product, which is good and will help diminish the look of dark circles and will temporarily minimize the look of fine lines and wrinkles...it even states in it's benefits that " to temporarily erase fine lines and wrinkles around the eye and lip area ". This product does not have the ingredients to really help rid fine lines and wrinkles as the other 3 eye products do. If you want a more permanent solution to help rid fine lines and wrinkles, I would highly recommend " eye believe"...it is a reasonably priced product and has the necessary ingredients, the "peptides" that help the eye area to produce collagen to help "fill in " the wrinkles from beneath the skin. the other 2 eye products contain these ingredients and also contain a few more important ingredients, again, for a more permanent solution to help rid fine llines and wrinkles, but they are a little more highly priced and all 4 of the eye products contain the same amount of product.
the " when hope is not enough eye and lip cream ", which as I stated, just mainly hydrates the eye area, and that does help, again to " temorarily " erase the look of fine lines and wrinkles. please don't get me wrong, I firmly believe all philosophy products are worth what every penny for what they do, i'm just stating that this product is a temporary solution and for people who really want a product to rid the eye and lip area of fine lines and wrinkles, and if they want a more permanent solution, then this product is not for them. Like I said earlier, I think this product is for people who want to start to prevent the beginnings of fine lines and wrinkles, or if they want immediate, temporary results that can be seen and felt. if a person has dark circles under their eyes and has fine lines and wrinkles, this product will help in diminishing the look of the dark circles and the look of the fine lines with it's hydrating properties, but it will just do a temporary job.

love the texture and the tube applicator...
Posted:April 13, 2011
i am loving the tube applicator tip. it allows me to target where i want the treatment to go. some creams you just pump out onto your finger and try to pat on. this little tube has a built in tip which you can use to squeeze a teensy amout right onto the wrinkles you are most concerned about. ive got an area of concern right in the corner near my nose. between this and eye hope, i'm not sure which one i like better, but i have also been putting this on over the eye hope when i feel like i need a little extra and i love it! the texture is nice, it's not too runny, not too thick, it doesnt just lay there, it sinks in. there's no odor or irritation to my very sensitive eyes. and you only use a very small amount. this tube should last a long time!

i love love love love this eye/lip cream!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm 29 and have very oily skin, but my lower eyelids and outer corners of my eyes have always been very dry. because they're always been dry, i started getting fine lines around my eyes at a young age. i have tried every eye cream out there and none of them have seemed moisturizing enough, thick enough, non-greasy enough, etc. Well, when i discovered how awesome philosophy products are, i have wanted to try everything they make!...so, I tried this eye cream and to no surprise, I fell in love!!!! everything about this product is absolutely perfect and everything i've been looking for! so happy I found it...please don't ever stop making it!!! oh yeah, it's also very soothing on my lips right after I wash my face at night.

tightens without drying out the skin
Posted:April 13, 2011
I used this product right under my eyes on some moderate lines around my bags, and in about a week, they are 50% smaller! I like that it immediately feels a little tighter, but it doesn't dry the skin out, it actually moisturizes it while tightening. AWESOME product!

wonderful addition to my night regiment
Posted:April 12, 2011
I had been using eye hope as my evening eye cream but was given a sample of hope in a tube. i found this product to be more moisturizing and soothing than eye hope, so i decided to make this my evening eye cream and to use eye hope in the morning (which is more light and firming). i love both eye creams and have found both extremely beneficial. I am so pleased that i added this one to my skin care line.
