"this stuff is a must have. it absorbs fast and is highly effective. everyone complains about the smell but it doesn't bother me. i use anywhere between a nickle and quarter size dab twice a day depending on the time of year. it may be spendy but the product lasts! i thrive on philosophy products and this one is no exception. my routine...Philosophy Purity with my clarisonic Mia twice a day, Philosophy Micordelivery Wash every other day in the morning shower after Purity/Mia, Philosophy Hope in a Jar as my moisturizer twice a day=great skin. I had very oily skin with bad acne a month ago. Today I don't have a single active pimple on my face!!"

"I have been using this product for years. this is the only moisturizer i have become dedicated to using. hope in a jar moisturizes my skin without an oily feeling, i use it day and night. it works wonderfully as a base for my mineral foundation. the product does not claim to but i swear it reduces redness, with one use my skin tone is more even if i have a blemish."

"i have been a philosophy customer for a while, but i have always had acne and dry,red skin. within a week of using this my skin became natural, not red, and beautiful! i wont go anywhere without my hope in a jar!!"

"I love this facial moisturizer! I just ordered a sample and was worried at first because the smell is not so great. But after it sinks in, the smell disappears. after only 3 days of using this, my skin is silky smooth. i will definitely be buying the regular size! I love the souffle texture too!"

"I just bought a kit with this moisturizer in it. I was so excited after reading all the great things about it. I put a little of it on, and the smell nearly made me gag. I left it on for several hours, thinking the smell might go away, but it was still so strong that i had to go and try to wash it off. it may work really well, but i'm afraid that there's no way that i could tolerate that smell on my face all day. i'm so disappointed, but will just keep on looking for something else that works."

"i am generally not a moisturizer person. i hate the greasy feeling that they usually leave on your skin. I have finally found a moisturizer that does not do that and it is hope in a jar. i use it twice daily, and my skin stays moist, and does not get dry and flaky as it did when using other moisturizers. There is no leftover greasy yucky feeling- only soft, moist skin. a 4 oz. jar should last you about 6 months- a little goes a long way. i am so happy that i finally found a product that i can happily use to moisturize my skin without feeling yucky afterwards. this is the best moisturizer out there!"

"i was looking for a new moisturizer to replace my usual that was about double the cost of the hiaj. I tried a kit that came with this wonderful moisturizer. I simply cannot believe how great it works! My skin is softer, smoother, and more hydrated than it has been in years. I have been using it now for almost a month. It is way superior to what I was using at a fraction of the cost. This is what I use in the morning after using my clairsonic and purity made simple. Keeps my skin moisturized throughout the day. I recently ordered the miracle worker and boy do the two together pack a punch! Both are wonderful! My only request would for this to come in a tube like the hope in a tube. I think it would stay fresher longer and that it would be more sanitary to use. Could you consider that philosophy?"

"i love this moisturizer! my skin just drinks it in , it is so lightweight. i have tried many department store brands and they always made my face fill greasy, and this doesn't. my face feels so soft and looks healthy. and the fact that you can buy the .05 oz size for $15.00 makes it worth trying."

"My skin has always been sensitive, i could never use anything without breaking out or irritation - this light, no grease formula - moisturizes my skin and actually makes me feel beautiful. i have never been so loyal to a product - but this is just the best!"

"i purchased this product as a part of a kit. i tried it and felt 'okay' about it. it feels nice. it absorbs well. it wasn't the kind of moisturizer i'd run back to the store to buy again. i subsequently tried another philosophy product, "miracle worker" and was much happier with that one. i recommend trying samples of the different moisurizers to find the one that is best for you before you purchase the whole jar."

"after trying everything from multiple cleansing systems to complete changes of make-up lines to prescription gels, ointments and oral medications, i finally found a solution for my rosacea problems. i tried this product as a sample with a fragrance purchase. oh my gosh i finally felt hydrated and my skin thanked me. i went from literally years of constant flares to soothed skin in just a few weeks. my husband was so impressed that he got me a starter kit for christmas. i have been amazed and people have really noticed as much of a difference in my skin as i have. I no longer use the prescription cocktail that it took to simply maintain an ok complexion. . . i only use my philosophy basics and my skin is radiant. simply unbelievable. it all started with hope in a jar. i have since added purity, microdelivery wash , and the microdivery peel system one at a time to make sure nothing flared my rosacea. nothing yet has caused a flare, far from it, my skin gets better with each one. thanks philosophy!!"

"Hope in a jar was given to me as a gift, and while i've been happy with my olay moisturizer, I tried hiaj when the first cold snap hit Texas. Every year for at least the last 10 I've lost all the skin on my face as soon as the heater has to be turned on. but this year my skin is softer and smoother than ever! thank you philosophy!"
