"smells exactly like hair dye that you buy over the counter. horrible smell. very thin consistency. consistency and color is about the same as hair dye. feels greasy on my face after an hour. worst face lotion i have ever used."

"I use many of philosophy's products, I am a huge fan of all of their bath products, fragrances even the face wash purity. however, the hope in a jar made my skin red, puffy and extremely irritated. the smell is also something that almost takes your breath away. not pleasant. I would not recommend this product or use it again. sorry philosophy, i love all your other products!"

"when i first tried this product, it reminded me of old fashion cold cream. it has a unique, light-weight texture and a mild medicinal smell. however, it is incredible light and absorbs quickly. i love it and when i'm in a hurry, i grab this and it sinks it fast and i can put on my makeup and go. i recommend giving it a try and try it for a few days before making a decision. the other formulations are great as well if this one does not work, try the sensitive formula or the spf 20 but this is my fav!"

"I ove how this product works! I have combonation skin and this does a great job moisturizing, yet it doesn't make my nose oily or cause it to break out. i've been using it for a month and my skin always feels so smooth. i do have to agree with one of the negative comments though... this product does not have a good smell to it! even though i think it smells bad, i will still continue to use it. i would like to see philosophy do something to make this smell better! in the end though, i think the benefits of this product are worth putting up with the smell. you get used to it after about a week."

"i really like what this moisturizer does for my skin, but i can't get over the smelll! it smells like a wet dog! philosophy... please make this smell pretty or not smell at all!"

"I researched this product and have had it about five days and liked it along with the tinted foundation. But I am into day two of a bumpy red mildly itchy rash on my cheeks, with swelling and bumps on my neck. Yes the smell is not pleasant like Clairens products are. The only ever mild redness only reaction I had was a year ago with clarens serum6. I was wondering if anyone is infomed to know what ingredients may have caused this and are they in other products here especially since I have other items on the way of Philosphy. I used the microderm wash two weeks ago and was fine with it. I think it is a very good product but was concerned when I saw it contains Diazolidinyl urea, But i wouldn't think a company would use it if it wasn't safe

"I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR OVER A YEAR AND A HALF NOW...ALONG WITH A FEW OTHER OF PHILOSOPHY PRODUCTS AND THERE ALL GREAT!!! MY SKIN IS SO SOFT AND LOOKS YOUNGER...EVERYONE TOLD ME THAT MY SKIN LOOKS FRESH AND HAS A GLOW...WHEN I MOVED FROM CALIFORNIA TO OREGON MY SKIN GOT A LOT DRYER BECAUSE OF THE COLD WEATHER...BUT WITH THIS MOISTURIZER I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM! "all the hype abut this product is true. After one week of using this I noticed my forehead furrow wrinkles and sprouting crows feet are gone. My skin feels fabulous.no new breakouts... and my skin is defintely volatile with most products. The smell is less than great, but tolerable. i would absolutely recommend this product."

"I din't like the smell, but still continued as I had heard so much about it, but eventually I ended up with break outs. I tried the sensitive skin as well but no help. i recommended this to my sister and she also ended up with back acne- just before her wedding- how sad!"
